When exposed to air, the Polished Silver-Plated Brass surface gradually develops a darker patina through oxidation, a characteristic that many appreciate for its unique character. The rate of oxidation depends on environmental conditions, particularly humidity.

Fingerprints, candle wax, grease and other corrosive substances may eventually leave stains that become difficult to remove, especially in humid environments.

To maintain the finish, gently polish the surface with a soft, dry cloth. For more thorough cleaning, use a mild polish specifically formulated for Polished Silver-Plated Brass and free from abrasive particles. As the Polished Silver-Plated Brass surface is delicate and can scratch easily, avoid brushes, steel wool, abrasive sponges and coarse polishing cloths.

Avoid prolonged contact with oxidising or corrosive substances, as these may permanently damage the surface. After cleaning, always ensure the item is completely dry by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth, as residual moisture may affect its appearance over time.
